6135198 Nineteen seventy-three marked the end of a number of eras at Porsche, even though many didn't notice it at the time.
Most notably, all variants of the 911 were about to receive a raft of stylistic and technical changes inside and out for 1974-its first major update since being introduced ten years earlier.
Large impact bumpers and a redesigned interior were on the way in, and the classic, svelte long-hood 911 shape and a range of 27 standard and optional colors was on the way out.
Porsche, always one to tinker and introduce updates via rolling changes, began to offer the 2.
4-liter 911 T engine with their new Bosch K-Jetronic (CIS) fuel injection system in January 1973.

5 models, these 911 Ts bound for the United States were the first to receive the torquier CIS injected Type 911/91 engine that would become standard for the 911 the next year.

5 911 T Coupe left Stuttgart, Zuffenhausen finished in optional Gemini Blue Metallic (335) with a Black kunstleder interior.
According to its accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, the car was additionally optioned with 6x15 inch forged Fuchs wheels, front and rear anti-roll bars, a manual antenna, loudspeaker, and tinted glass all around.
This well-optioned 911 T Coupe was additionally ordered with Comfort Equipment that included aluminum door sills, 911 S type exterior trim, chrome rocker panels, 911 S type instrumentation, and a leather covered steering wheel among other items.
Notably, this 911 was ordered without a sunroof, increasing interior headroom approximately one inch.
Originally delivered to Travale Porsche-Audi in Stockton, California, its original service book indicates an initial delivery date of 19 September 1973 with 31 miles on the odometer.
Subsequent service book stamps show maintenance at Travale Porsche-Audi to close out the year followed by hand-written notations with oil changes until 22 January 1979 with 13,631 miles.
The next service book notation, with what appears to be the same handwriting, jumps to 16 June 1994 and 18,640 miles recorded, a number thought to be original.
The current owner relays that the car then sat for some time.
Between April and October of 2018 Naples Classic Car conducted work to further improve the car.
Documentation on file and available for review, shows that the hood and front bumper of this 911 T received a respray while the U.
S.
-market headlights were replaced with Bosch H4s, the large front bumperettes were removed, and a passenger mirror added.
Paintless dent repair was conducted with a dry ice detail and the car was lowered to Euro S settings with new shock absorbers and fresh sway bar bushings.
Most recently, in February 2023, an annual service was performed with an oil change, brake fluid flush, and an air conditioning system recharge.
